Asi Cymbal is the President and owner of Cymbal Development, the company that is developing Marina Lofts, Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Cymbal manages the day-to-day operations of the company, which include project management, legal affairs, risk management, and contract negotiations.
In South Florida, Asi Cymbal has acquired, developed, and/or constructed more than $150 million in projects. He has more than 15 years experience in real estate development, construction, finance, and law.
Prior to moving to Miami, Mr. Cymbal served as Vice President and General Counsel of Lev Leviev Boymelgreen, a $7 billion real estate development company based in New York, Toronto, Miami, and Las Vegas. Asi Cymbal was responsible for developing their most prominent Manhattan projects at the time and was a member of their management committee.
Mr. Cymbal has developed and constructed over 1.5 million square feet and close to $1 billion of mixed-use real estate projects over the last few years. His project list includes Midtown Center, a retail center spanning an acre and a half situated across from Midtown Miami; Downtown by Philippe Starck, a 1.1 million square foot residential conversion in Manhattan’s Financial District; River Lofts, a 200,000 square foot residential redevelopment of a landmarked warehouse attached to an adjoining ground up tower in Tribeca; and Spring, a residential conversion of a 100,000 square foot office building in the heart of Soho.
Asi Cymbal is planning a mixed-use complex consisting of residential buildings, retail boutiques, restaurants, and a marina on a six-acre waterfront site in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Marina Lofts, Fort Lauderdale is designed by visionary Bjarke Ingels, whom the Wall Street Journal recently named Innovator of the Year.
In the Miami Design District, Asi Cymbal is developing a mixed-use office and retail complex designed by internationally renowned architect, Enrique Norten. Mr. Cymbal is an owner and managing partner of gigi and Bardot, as well as having been an owner and managing partner of Sra. Martinez and Crumb on Parchment.

In its first 60 days, gigi was named by Newsweek/Daily Beast as one of the hottest restaurants in the United States. Bardot is Miami’s most popular live venue lounge and has quickly evolved into the standard-bearer of quality music and performances.Sra. Martinez was named semi-finalist nominee of the James Beard Foundation for best new restaurant in Florida. Asi Cymbal is a graduate of Vassar College and the UCLA School of Law. He is an experienced real estate and business attorney licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., and is a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida.
